Marco Chiaramonte is Hard of Hearing, grew up in Portugal Cove, Newfoundland until he relocated to Vancouver, BC in 2008.  Since 2008, Marco has been employed at the Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as an Employment Counsellor – Team Lead.  Marco is completing his Masters Degree at the University of Victoria in Community Development through the School of Public Administration.  His values and goals are to see the potential for positive change regarding inclusion and diversity within CHHA.  He has made considerable contributions to the employment sector regarding accessibility for Hard of Hearing job seekers.   Marco wants to make significant strides politically – changing policies and procedures for access to affect change with the communities he continues to serve.  He is a lifetime member of CHHA.  He is an avid outdoors person, has a wife and two fur babies.
